I can't find the files for my ringtone and notification tone. Where are they stored?

I had a custom ring tone and notification tone on my old galaxy phone. They transferred to my new phone and play but I can't find the files. I don't want to inadvertently delete them. Where are they stored?

Welcome to Android Central! How did you transfer them -- using Smart Switch? Custom tones typically go to the /Notifications and /Ringtones directories. If you don't see them there, but they're still available to you in the sound picker, then they might have been transferred to some protected system directory that you can't access (without root). Have you already used a file manager to search for those files?
