It just happened recently about a few days ago, I can send out text and calls. I tried updating prl and profile, factory reset and also blocking text and calls and re-enabling it. I don't know what to do now. I'm rooted and rom AOKP.

it may not be the phone but something with the service operator. is there any limitation by the operator for sending texts or calls, certain quota or prepaid balance and active periods etc?

Nope, I have unlimited plan. I even restored my old back up I had which was a month ago and that didn't fix the problem.

Hmm.... I would do a full factory image restore and then see if it fixes things. Otherwise you have a hardware issue.

Would that unroot the phone or would it make my phone rooted and stock? That would wipe the SD card right? So I should make a back up and send it to my computer right?

Correct. Save your important info from the device first then try restoring it to stock.

Crazy question, and totally not insulting your intelligence, but you don't have airplane mode on without realizing it, right? (It's happened...)

I'd make a full backup and then flash the stock rom...then flash aokp again. Then restore your apps only (no data) using Titanium. Basically start from scratch without really starting from scratch. Crazy things happen flashing and reflashing....data can clash with other old data etc etc.

What messaging app are you using? Have you changed any settings in any scripts at all? I'd also check once I flashed the stock ROM that none of the settings in the phones ##3282# menu aren't totally jacked. Have you flashed a firmware/radio zip and accidently powered off the phone in the process? Crazier things have happened.

Those are a few ideas that come to mind....it's also 3am and I'm beat lol. Hopefully that helps - let me know and I'll try and help ya.

No It's not on, my text and calls go through as normal but I can't receive any.

Do I have to unroot and relock to flash the stock ROM or can I just flash it like any other ROM?

I'm using the stock app. No, I don't even know what a script is lol I have an idea of what it is but I have no clue on how to change that.
Nope I haven't. I downloaded the stock ROM from Google developer, it was a .tar file and I changed it to .zip, is it OK to flash it? Thanks for your help

I successfully unrooted and locked my phone, but it didn't fix the problem
