so i was trying to unlock my nexus one to add a custom ROM to it, i unlocked it but i tried to continue with the guide i was following and i've been stuck on the recover part, i go into recover and a picture of a android comes up with a " ! " mark in a triangle idk what to do help me please :D thanks

Press the power button and see what happens.

If not, take the battery out, put it back in, press and hold the volume down button. While holding it down, press the power button (still holding the volume down pressed).

Honestly, it would have been easier to use the rom manager. after using it, I've already had about 3-4 roms loaded on top of the Cyanogen I have currently.

I have unlocked and rooted it so far.
when i try to go to the RESTORE option, it goes to the X logo and after that it goes to this error screen instead of going to the restore option list.

any ideas?

thanks

It doesn't sound like you actually finished rooting it. You have to install an alternate recovery image in order to install custom Rom's. If you aren't using the Rom manager, you have to install Amon-Ra's custom recovery in order to install anything.

Rom Manager is definitely a lot easier.

I'm actually thinking of going away from using it though. Rom Manager was just to get my feet warm.

i got it to work!
i was following the wrong guide to do this.
they had me doing it on fastboot when it was suppose to be in superboot.
but it worked now! thank you all for trying to help :D
