Android Central Question

Hi there,

I played with my smartphone today and encrypted it.
The pattern i choose doesn't fit now (STRANGELY!)
Can i reset it somehow? I don't mind the data.
I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x

I don't have access to recovery mode (never had for some reason, using Volume up + power button combination)
When i needed it i used adb to boot into the recovery mode.
I have access to fastboot but the device is not authorized in adb as i cannot hit the checkbox that say i'm approving the access, via the smartphone (it's locked with pattern. fingerprint doesn't work as it's after a reboot and i disabled fingerprint auth in first boot)

Maybe someone know some other method to go into recovery mode except adb and starting with volume up + power button pressed?
What are my options?

You said that you used to use adb, so adb should still work. Try adb reboot recovery.

If adb doesn't work, and fastboot doesn't work (you can't fastboot into recovery, though - but you could reflash the ROM), you'll have to either figure out another way to reflash the ROM or have someone with JTAG equipment force-feed the ROM to the phone. (Look on eBay for JTAG service, and find one that can do your model phone.)
