I got the OTA update yesterday. When I reboot to update to 4.4, it goes in to twrp to reboot (I flashed it to a gpe), and it fails to install, and I have to restore my rom and data. What do I do?

Search for a stock 4.4 rom for your device on XDA and flash it using TWRP.

Your update failed because you modified your OS, it only work with a pure stock device.

Also please post in the Help section or your device section next time.

Its because you have a custom recovery, OTA`s will not install unless your device has the stock recovery, easiest thing to do is go and find the 4.4 rom you want and flash it in TWRP

for some reason it fails when I do that. I'm running twrp 2.6.3.3 and it keeps failing when I install the 4.4 rom. In fact, it fails when I install the AOSP rom, and many other roms for some reason.

I believe you need to update your twrp version to 2.6.3.5, I had to do that to flash android revolution KitKat on my wife's one. Just go to twrp.com or use the goo manager app to update your twrp.

after a while i finally said screw it and installed cyanogenmod 11 with 4.4. Don't regret it.
