I caved in and got the Note 20 Ultra, love the phone, hate the size!

After carting the Note 20 Ultra around for a week, my verdict is that the size is fine, but this is about as big as a phone can be. If one wears skinny jeans, which I don't, one's pretty much screwed. It fits in my pocket okay and I haven't had any issues while seated. It is a bit awkward getting it back into the Otterbox's belt clip (I'm one of the few people who requires a belt clip, for I make frequent on-the-fly playlist changes, and it's just way easier to quickly access the phone in an indoor setting or outside when coats aren't required).

I'm fine with the size of the Note 20u , but don't want it any bigger then it is . Congrats on the new phone
I game on my note 20ultra so I'd looove a 7.9 inch screen./panel. But I think that might compromise battery size or life. I'm not a general fan of small devices anyway. The N20U is a beast of a device. I really did think about the fold but that's just too big for me.

I'm interested in the fold

You do realize it folds down to smaller footprint then the note 20U?? I love it, closed, one hand usage is great, open it up when I want bigger screen. Throw the embedded Spen in there and that phone is going to start doing things IMO

I'm more interested if they do the slide out at some point.

So... you'd love a 7.9 inch screen/panel... but (the Fold) just too big for you... You do know the Fold has a (smaller) 7.6" display right?

I see you mention gaming on the battery thread and I have noticed that seems to be your main theme in a lot of posts...

The N20U is a great phone... maybe business/productivity oriented. Maybe a more gaming oriented phone is what you need?

The ROG 5 phone looks like a winner...

I know right! But I don't need a device to fold open to a larger size. BUT I'd be interested in a flip 3 with a larger outside display.niw that be ace!

First I've seen that. I do like that and see potential there. With people wanting bigger screens all the time, I think this is the route manufacturers have to go. I love that it has a small footprint and can be opened to bigger screen when needed. I switched to the note 20U the other day, and I forgot how big it was when in my pocket. I'm going back to the fold tonight.

I really like the slide concept myself , I think lg on this technology also , I'm going see how the fold 3 is before I make my next phone purchase

What do we need a fold with a bigger front screen, that defeats the purpose of folding phone. Go get a note 20U, there's already front big screen phones

Sometimes... maybe more times you want to use the outside screen / phone folded for quick tasks throughout the day... texting, Teams with co-workers, check email, to set directions on Google Maps and not needing it full screen... as well as eat up more battery doing all that on a screen all day. To do many of those things with a little more privacy or not attract as much attention to yourself. Honestly I think a lot of reasons and I think if more proportional you end up using the outside more if they are not already doing so with the 2nd gen.

The larger screen will be nice when you have a bit more time to relax... a little more privacy... and wanna open it up and enjoy your content more.

At least that's me. Refine the proportions and keep making it thinner and we're getting to where I'll be more interested :)

For me I like the one handed use on the front. The note 20U is almost go big for me. I'm sure they will eventually get the fold to big also. One thing about cell phones, they are always changing

I stuck to my Note 10 when the Note 20 was released. I didn't like the bigger sizes. Couple of months ago I was tired of the 10, got some cash unexpectedly and decided to give the note 20 ultra a go. The smaller N20 was a no go because it was a **** poor downgrade as far as I'm concerned. I got the Note 20 ultra, fantastic phone, loving all its features and can't get enough of the display but....... I absolutely hate how heavy it is. I have petite hands and it's a real struggle using the phone. These days I find myself going around with my iPhone XS when I'm doing stuff around the house or going out without a purse. It sucks that sansung considers a gorgeous phone like this only for men cos the size is a no no for most women. And they wonder why women like iPhone . Give me a phone with all the bells and whistles on a nice, slim 5.8 or 6 inch screen. I'm tired of lugging a humongous phone that doesn't fit into most of my pockets and feels too heavy. It's a solid phone, the best I've ever used but I'm not happy about the size and won't be getting another one if this annoying trend continues. If people want bigger screens for games and movies, they can use dex!
HEY what about a flagship Note Ultra Flip? Now I'd def be I to that!
