I changed my Gmail password and now I am not receiving emails on my Android phone, how can I fix this?

I changed my gmail password now not receiving emails on my android phone

I have a Samsung S2 I went in to the Account settings for Gmail on the phone to change the password to the new one and it wont accept it.
Message I am getting "you entered the wrong password or your account has changed. Please reenter your password. My user name is correct but when I try to reenter the password I keep getting the above message

Using that same username and password can you login via your PC through a web browser to your Gmail account?

You can't change it. Delete the gmail account, then add a gmail account with the new password.
