I deleted photos on my phone via pc by mistake

Hi guys, I`m in big trouble. I accidentally deleted a very important folder that I thought was being transferred to my pc. I did that while the phone was connected to the pc, so I`ve done it via pc instead of via phone. I cannot find a way to recover them in any way. Can someone please tell me where I can find a way to restore them, please?

Are they pictures? Try going into Samsung files and check internal storage if those files are there. If not try going into account and restore back up and see if they show up again.

I have tried, nothing shows up. I`ve tried Recycle Bin both on my pc and on Google Pics and Photos on my phone...nothing.

I don`t really know to be honest. I just don`t understand why it deleted them permanently so easily. I thought I have copied them into the pc, but when I go in the folder in the pc it won`t open the files, so basically I lost them on both devices

Welcome to Android Central! Go to photos.google.com on your computer browser and see if any of the photos are there. If you had Google Photos auto-backup turned on, they should be there.

Otherwise, the only way to recover deleted files from internal storage is to root the phone and use a file recovery program as discussed here: [Guide] Recovering Deleted Files - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

Yes, apparently I`ve never transferred the photos on my Samsung Cloud. It was empty.

I did yes, and it only transferred one picture that can`t be opened from the phone either.

Thanks, I`ve tried Google photo and they are not there. I will try buying the file recovery program and see where that gets me. Thank you

What did you use to transfer them? It is also weird you can't open them on PC. What programs did you try? Is there any error popping up?

I suspect that there was a data transfer error during the operation, causing the files not to move correctly, but still causing the source files to be deleted. That's why you should always use Copy commands, not Move commands.

Bottom line - NEVER USE MOVE when copying files to another device, use COPY. Then, if something goes wrong, you still have the originals. If the copy went okay, then delete the originals.
