I don't get vocal response anymore

I used to get a vocal response when I ask something like current temperature or current time of a city, like New York, but now I only get a list of written options.

Please don't double post because someone didn't answer you within five minutes. Your issue is not urgent, and it's considered extremely bad manners.

In Google now go to settings (at bottom of page, right corner) click where it says voice and change your option to always or only when informative.
