I don't have a missed call notification or voicemail notification on my LG V20 phone

I have an LG V20 phone. My problem is I never get a missed call notification or any notification that I have voicemail. What makes this worse is that my phone service through T-Mobile doesn't work downstairs and I'm downstairs most of the time. The phone doesn't ring and the calls go straight to voicemail. Without any notification, the only thing I can do is to keep calling voicemail to check if there's any messages. I've found an app, My SMS, that I installed on my computer and it can send and receive text messages using my cell phone number through my computer. Is there anything like that for phone calls?
