My mother is going to have surgery soon. She has to get her lymph node removed. This may or may not be cancer. I can't deal with this right now. I don't think I could deal with my mother being in pain every single day. We just have to wait for the test results. The wait is killing me.

If she does have cancer, we will not be able to afford the costs. I can't deal with the financial and emotional pain.

Thanks for listening to me, I just needed to vent :(

Just saw your post. Don't get ahead of yourself. Also, try to think of yourself as the support for your mother, she needs you to be strong. I think Dale Carnegie's book, how to stop worrying is real practical for moments like these. And remember, these things are usually okay, treatments (despite what the media says) have improved dramatically. They are doing amazing things with medicine these days.

I didn't see your post until now, but thank you. It turns out that the growth was benign and that she does not have cancer, but they will be ordering more tests. I am so relieved.

I am sure many of us wanted to say something but thought it best not to b ut t in (rightly or wrongly).

That was a scary time for you, but your mum is a lucky lady in more ways than one.

Just wanted you to know many of us are not heartless. B. Diddy stepped in well.

Great to hear the news. The first shock is the hardest.
