I don't really care for EMUI 5.

Same here but I have yet to find a way to stop the power management notification. This is one area that was better on 4.1 than 5.0
Go to battery settings then press the gear icon in the top right. Then the power prompt notification option is there at the top.

Mind you I don't have 7.0 yet.

I was wondering if losing the tiny icons in the notification bar was due to the "bundle feature" included with Nougat?
On the Axon 7 it's possible to disable bundled so I was wondering if that option is adjustable under EMUI if the icons would return.

You still get tiny icons but doesn't say they are bundled or not:

The colored icons where so dope. What I mean buy like every other android is. This phone feels no more unique that my HTC or any other android phone I have had.

That's what is the most upsetting part about EMUI 5. They took an amazing take on a UI design and made it look like everyone else's. There is absolutely nothing unique about EMUI 5.0 it's just another basic way to do a UI. With the same look and feel as every other android manufacturer out there.

In the process of making it smoother they lost the EMUI touch that made 4.1 what it was. Which was different.

Carriers will never pick up and sell a branded Huawei phone. The government told everyone that the Chinese would use these phones to spy on the American people.

I miss being able to pull down on the left for notifications and the right for shortcuts. Other than that, there are just some visual changes. I liked the old visuals better, but the new don't bother me. I do think the layout of the settings menu is greatly improved.

I cannot believe you are moaning at EMUI 5 it is much better. I hated the old notification shade especially and messy no app drawer

Not sure why there's a surprise. As i have said many times before even months ago, emui 5 is much closer to stock Android than emui 4. Those that like a more stock Android experience will like it. Those that don't won't.

Yea ,some people just refuse to READ.

I'm just glad that a lot of the additional features like using your knuckle to take a screenshot and all of that didn't disappear with the update. Still adjusting though but I think I have figured out where everything is in settings.

Yeah, it is taking me a while to find everything, too!

So far so good here but I'm not getting my Bleacher report notifications again. This happened when I first got the phone then all was good now nothing. I checked and my settings didn't change.

Fixed. All I had to do was open the app then after I closed it my notifications were back. So, this was me not the phone. 😀

Just updated. I was already using the Nova launcher to add the app drawer and hide apps so the update doesn't change much.

I do enjoy the split screen so I can browse and use YouTube at the same time.
