I dropped my Note 8 and it was damaged

That's why whenever I get a new phone I just buy a case from either the carrier store or Best Buy and then wait for my Amazon case to show up and then take the other case back and return it

This is why I always order a case off Amazon BEFORE the phone is out. I get a case as soon as they go on sale on Amazon. usually Caseology and Spiegen are the first case companies with cases for the phone.

I ordered the Legion case from Caseology right when they started selling them. That way if the phone shipped early I had a decent case for it until I could get the Defender.

Whew. Never been this clumsy before. Must be getting old lol. So my phone fell face down onto a time floor. About 4 feet. Worst sound ever. Picked it up knowing the screen was broken. But no. Perfect. Thankfully though I had a case and screen protector this time.

I have dropped my phone four times already. UAG case saved me everytime....

I dropped my S8+ a few months ago. Thanks to my Caseology case, it didn't suffer so much as a scratch. Like many here, I'm of the "always keep a case on it" persuasion. Well, at least outside the house anyway.
@thecaringkind, glad to hear you've got insurance at least. Do they cover a screen replacement or a full phone replacement?

Wait you return the originally purchased case? After you've used it for however long?

Yes I return it after I've used it for a few days I mean I have Amazon Prime so usually I can get a case within two days

So I have had my new Note 8 for not even two full days aaaaannnnd this happens... I'm literally waiting on my case from Amazon to arrive, I have the phone in my left pocket. I go to sit on the carport stoop, and I immediately hear a 'CLACK' I look down and find my new beautiful Note screen cracked.

This thing is SLIPPERY AS HELL AND EQUALLY AS FRAGILE. Thank goodness I have really good third party insurance. 😁

😭😭😭 ahhh, i would be crying and swearing until i could get it fixed. My otterbox commuter got to me before my phone did. It ain't coming off for any reason. I always put my phone in my purse.

Man, that sucks! Hope they get you fixed up quickly.

If you got it direct from Samsung, remember they included device protection free for the first 2 months, at least that's true on my N7 promo pre-order.

Clint, I've never used Square trade so I wouldn't know. cheers.

Yea, sorry I didn't type that correctly... I have Sq Trade and have used them. I have never heard back from anyone that used Worth Ave Group and I was wondering if you had ever filed a claim with them and how did it go?

I to use Square Trade, have never filled a claim but there easy to contact and friendly.
Here is a promo code don't remember it exactly it's phone20 or 20phone for $20 off so it's $69 for a years policy with a $99 deductable with one day replacement.

Replacement is new or refurb?

Used square trade on my samsung refrigerator to get ice maker fixed, no deductible and they gave a 1 year warranty on repair, only had 5 days left on contract when I called.

I got a defender case for mine right away but wouldn't it be nice if after you buy your almost $1000 phone you didn't have to turn around and spend $50 on a case that makes your beautiful thin phone thicker than you want. Why don't they focus on making these crazy expensive phones a little more durable. it doesn't matter what number gorilla glass the phone has when as soon as you drop it you know it's broken.

@arunma they cover repair, however if the repair is not possible for some reason they will cover the cost of a replacement phone.
You have had a claim so you know they'll do it without a hassle? Given that the cost to replace this screen, even with the insurance from AT&T, is $299 I would like to insure it elsewhere. Thank you for any info!
