I dropped my Note 8 and it was undamaged

Hadn't had it but for a few days and I already dropped it in a parking lot! No protection since I'm waiting on ups to get here with it. It bounced a few times butt fortunately no damage at all. Either I got real lucky or this is one tough phone!

It was about a 4ft drop

Lucky you. I dropped my iPhone 7plus my first day of work after I got it. It fell straight to the cement from my lap when I got out of the car. About had a heart attack. But it was all good. In your case can you take a picture of it to show there was no damage?

My son discovered that my stylus is jammed up inside and won't come out. Assurion told me warranty will cover it since there is no other damage

As there isn't any other damage then I would assume just an inertia jam. I haven't seen the N8, can you reach the stylus with tweezers?

I'd just return it, and get a new one, regardless if it's ok, your within your return period because it hasn't been a week since people have started getting them.

I had a case on the way. I didn't get it until after I dropped it.
