I still have my iPhone x, which is a solid phone , wow you do like to change phones lol.
Yeah the fold looked promising but cant see spending that money on it yet.

Shiny new things syndrome. I’m drawn to the larger size of the N10 pro. iPhone XS Max has been the best phone I’ve ever owned. But I’m ready to go back to Android for a while. Having had several months to consider it, i agree that letting others test the fold is the better play. Too many compromises and drawbacks including the price.

Those thinking the base (or even 5G) Note 10+ will be $1,500... relax. It'll probably be $200 less than that at the absolute minimum. You're going to have to get a pretty spec'd out variant for it to cost $1500.

I don't miss gigantic phones, so I'll be getting the regular Note 10 instead. I'm guessing the baseline Note 10 will be about $1000.

I think it's a combination of excitement and that whole "not knowing" phenomenon. We may have speculation, but we don't know for sure. That makes some of us really excited and/or anxious, and so we do a ton of research and post a lot! That's just what happens when you throw a bunch of phone geeks together.

I just got frustrated when I saw $1500 for the 10+. That must be for the beast with 1T and 5G. I'm just going for the monster with 256GB, hoping it doesn't cross the $1300 I budgeted.

If the Note10+ even approaches $1500, that's enough reason for me not to consider it alone. No more wondering or thinking about it. No phone is worth that much. A phone in the end is just a phone. It doesn't do anything else. I guess since the Note9, I am officially out of the pre-order game. It's nice to have the latest and greatest. But, at what cost?

I am kind of the same way. I see that it shipped and when it will deliver and I'm fine. The huge difference in smartphones is that everyone wants theirs first. If someone doesn't get theirs on the first delivery day as others, they lose their minds and threaten to leave the carrier or something.
Also, I would love to get me a Ryzen 3700x as well.

I've been involved in group speculation since rumors of the "next, newest, best" LG flip phone would start, lol. Actually, maybe even for my first cell phone in '96 (ginormous Motorola!) Even waiting in an hour long line at 8am on release day of the BlackBerry Tour (don't think there were pre-orders for it) in'09 I think

But the best anticipatory anxiety group experience was for my first Note (N3). Been here for annual therapy ever since!
