I find the screen too slippery

I've never had a screen so slippery. When hard pressing on something I find my finger slipping on the screen and the hard press doesn't take effect. Some fine grit sandpaper should do the trick, though.

you need to handle it a lot more, get it all greasy and fingerprinted, and then you'll be fine.

I would try a belt sander with the fine grit, just to keep the screen from getting swirls in it. )
