I forgot my password on my Note 8. Now I am locked out of my phone. ATT store
tried a factory reset but was unable to log into my google account. Kept saying an error occurred and to wait 24hrs. 24 hrs later it said the same thing. I have now been told that I would have to contact samsung.

Did you try to go to the Google account recovery page? As long as you have an email address or two in your account or a phone number, you should be able to reset your password.

Unfortunately that's what you have to do. Even if we could assist you (I couldn't) we shouldn't. Anyone could come on a forum making the same claim with a stolen phone.

I'm not implying that the case at all but you understand what I'm saying.

i had this happen to me on my note 5 at one time. must have had a typo on password and the same typo on the confirm password. i had to use android device manager to factory reset my phone.

Samsung won't help you either. You'll only be able to access using ADM:
