As the title says, I found a Samsung watch Galaxy Gear S. It is unlocked and I can use it. How can I find something (e.g. email address) to contact the owner? I have no idea how to use this thing.

No idea. Sounds like a watch-hosted "If found please contact..." card would be a good addition to Android Wear.

Agreed. I can't access any of the user contact data (e.g. email) since it is out of bluetooth range from the owner's cell phone. It seems like a trivial addition to add such a thing. I'll probably resort to posting in the lost and found section of the local craigslist/kijiji.

Gear S is NOT android wear. It has a sim card. Perhaps the sim card can be used to find the owner's cellular provider?

You could try connecting it to wifi, and it should remotely connect to the owner's phone if he set it up to do that.

I have a gear S also. If the owners phone is turned on it should go into call forwarding. There will be an icon in the upper left hand corner.
Swipe upwards from the clock screen and choose contacts. I would try calling one of his contacts and see if they could maybe help you.
