I did install Launcher8: Windows Phone 8 Style Android Launcher With Live Tiles
It makes the large phone so much better for 1 hand use. There is nothing wrong with the LG launcher. I've just been using WP for 2 years, so for me it's the best of both worlds.

Also the flip cover should open from left to right. I'm really having a hard time with it.
I mean the phone goes to sleep when you close it, so it just makes more sense to cover the power button and not the volume/quick button.

Feels good in hand and the screen is great!
Two bummers I can't install NFSMW or The Room...I love that game.
And the home button is a little awkward to press, but I'll get use to it.

Update:
The developer has fixed "The Room" the game installs and is working like butter.

You can turn off all the Qslide apps, but you're still left with 1 edit icon. That's really the only thing new LG added to the notification window that I can tell since the LGOG.

Had mine for a few hours and I love it much easier to hold the the note 2 and the screen is great. Still need to put it through some use to get real impression though.

Mine didn't come with the folio case in the box. The size of the home button doesn't bother me at all, it's beveled up a few mm.
I'll post back tomorrow after I let it drain from 100.. Just now got it fully charged.

I really like the case. The cut out for home button/notification light is great and the inside is soft to keep screen in good shape. Battery so far with very heavy use I have been doing about 8 percent and hour which is better than my not was but that was after using it for 6 months.

Can you disable LTE? I have not seen it mentioned before. I also have not seen that option in the screen shots of the UI posted in reviews. I find that personally to be a very useful feature on my iPhone 5 because I have a 2 GB plan.

Button is a pain in the @ss...I hate it. The case is just okay, because I just realized after paying full price...that you can't use the damn thing an take a photo Also it makes the buttons on the left near impossible to access with one hand. As for battery, well I'm been using it pretty hard and never did fully charge it so I'm not going to comment.

Nothing. Some people think it's too thin and I can see how some people with large fingers wouldn't like it but I prefer to sacrifice a little tactility for a thinner bottom bezel.

I did you had to add it to cart and money would come off automatically at the end.
