Iphone xs or Samsung galaxy s10e?

Everyone compares this phone to the xr but I have the Xs and I'm intrigued by the "E" for the size and flat screen. I have been using Android for years but I do admit that I love the speed and smoothness of the iPhone. How is the performance on this little Samsung? Do you think it will hold up in time?

The performance in absolutely awesome! It’s a snappy little beast with great battery life. My wife has the iPhone XS and I compare them often. Size is pretty close with the S10e being a little lighter and a little more comfortable in the hand.

I also have a XR and it’s a tank compared to the S10e lol.

My wife also has an XS...

IMO the 10e is so much better to hold, and performance seems a lot snappier

I just got my son the S10e. My daughter has the the iPhone XS. They are both great phones. My son wants nothing to do with Apple so he loves the S10e. My daughter likes her iPhones so she is happy with the X. Maybe one day I'll convert her, but it's her choice. I use a Note 9, but I really appreciate the size of both the S10e and the iPhone XS. If I had to pick it would be the S10e. Two reasons, more bang for the buck and I prefer Android over iOS. I don't own any other apple products.

Can't go wrong with either though. Pick your OS and be happy. No wrong answer here.

I agree. Much better comparison. Then it really comes down to how much you value "stock" android and timely updates over Samsung's UI or vice versa. Pros and cons to both so it's a personal preference. Still no wrong answer. I could make an argument for either.

I guess I’m just worried about the overall fluidity of the s10e. iPhones smoothness has me addicted, even though I like androids OS better

So far, I don't really notice anything but it's only been 10 minutes so take this statement with a grain of salt.

Ya. It’s hard to beat the smoothness and the ecosystem of iOS.

I prefer Android myself, but iOS makes my life a lot less hectic.

Currently I switched to Xr from Xs Max but had the X last year so in size and feel it definitely feels like the Xs more than the Xr. They compare to Xr because of the price.

They both have different advantages and disadvantages. S10e is definitely packed with more features, specs and pretty much every other area. If that's what you want then yes S10e is the phone, it's more bang for the buck currently. But Xs is also great experience, great ecosystem, long software support, personally I feel iPhone ages much better. And if you want Apple watch which is the best Apple product in quite some time then you need an iPhone.

Personally, it's hard to make a choice so I have both

I just picked up my S10e two days ago and put my S6 out to pasture.
The size is about the same as the S6 and I love the flat screen.
performance is snappy and the fingerprint reader is amazing, super fast!
This is probably the happiest I have been with a smart phone since my Kyocera 7135.

I went ahead an ordered the s10e. I will try it out and see how I like it compared to the iPhone. I'm not in to the ecosystem enough to have it hurt me. IMessage will be a little loss just because my whole family has iphones. I don't even use facetime ever though. I don't have any other apple products and actually I've been annoyed because I can use my chromcast with the iPhone. We shall see in a couple of days.
