i am soooo sick of the lag, the going from 85% to 0% (just yesterday) in a mere 30 min, WITH NO USE while driving to work yesterday, then booting up to reveal that it really has 58% (wtf???)...i can go on and on, my question simply put is which is better? the nexus s or the evo 3-d????

I'd say the nexus s because its a google phone. No gimics no sense and the first updates!

If you're still stock maybe Sprint can help you. If you're on rom you need to check the thread for that specific rom. I get more than a day with my rom but I don't assume the same results for anyone else.

As for suggesting different devices I don't think we can give you a definite answer because everyone's experiences are different. Maybe you can do some research in their respective threads to learn more?
Hope this will help you decide :)

There is some good advice above.

I had Epic, traded for Nexus, so now our family runs 2 Epics and 2 Nexus'. We LOVE our Nexus in
comparison to the Epics - size, speed, functionality, etc. And we wanted smaller, thinner, and no keyboard.

I also had the Evo which I traded for the Epic. Personally I didn't care for Evo, don't like HTC Sense, screen quality, on and on. And my husband was ditto.

What I did to fix the Epics - both are rooted and running custom roms. Without those, they did strange things, slower, laggier, etc. So if you feel comfortable with that, and there are some great developers on here - Midnight and ACS - that are helpful and good to work with, you can fix that problem.

If you are going stock - both Nexus are - you will love this one.

I'd switch to an Epic.. heheh

kind of the wrong forum to ask. I love mine. No issues, fast, best screen, though some of the newer 4.3 inch screens are pretty nice.

Didn't like the lack of features on the nexus being a dev phone and all, and I wanted a KB and on Sprint. but is is up to what you want in a phone, i'd go and look at a few live ones at a sprint store and look in the other forums.

In my opinion it sounds like you're frustrated a bit. Frustration most of the time leads to wrong decisions.
Now, to answer your question: Nexus S 4G or Evo 3D?
these two phones are almost incomparble to each other. They both offer features that the other one doesn't offer.
Nexus offers a Super AMOLED screen, thin design, the most recent up-to-day version of Android, and a couple of other things.
With the Evo 3D you get the support from HTC. In my opinion, HTC has the best looking software out of all the manufacturers outhere. The 3D camera might suprise u or might dissapoint you, so for that I would suggest you physically touch the phon and play with the camera a bit. The first time I saw it I didn't like it, but I went back later on another ocassion and I was really interested on the way the pictures looked.
I will still choose the Nexus because of the screen and Android.
On another note, the issues with the battery you're referring to, I was having the same issue with SFR 1.2, but after switching to EG22 that bug was gone and I have seen an increase of battery life compared to stock EC05 and custom ROMs based of EC05.
All in all, I think you have a great device with you already. I would try EG22 first, using Titanium Backup pro to freeze or get rid of anything you don't use on that rom, and maybe using SetCPU to overclock for the lag issue or underclock for saving more precious battery life. I use Overclock widget as it allows me to define the frequencies I want my phone to run at. Even underclocking my Epic I see no signs of lag. But in the end, I wish you good luck in your endevour as you try to decide whether to upgrade your phone or try different things with the Epic, as each phone is different, but there's only one perfect phone for each one of us. :-)

u were right...i am/was frustrated with my epic but i gave it the old college try...again...and went to the.sprint store....again...they said i had a bad antenna so they gave me a new(?) epic.....who knows? maybe this one one will be a winner....

Take a look at the Nexus S Facebook, LED, microSD, Email, Text, & Camera Workarounds for decent workarounds for the Facebook, Notification LED, Speed Dial, Smart Dial, Email Search, Text over160 Characters, Zoom, FM Radio, Visual Voicemail, and HDMI

Also take a look at specs see the Phone Comparison.

But in the end, consider the features that matter to you. Try them out for as long as you can. Get the one that feels best to you. Know that on August 29th, Samsung is about the make a big announcemnet. The invitations have a big II on them.

I went through 3 epics before I gave up and got a photon, and I haven't looked back. No forced close apps, no roaming where I know there's signal, or any of the other problems i've had. Plus the battery life is a dream.
