I hate the text tones/ notification tones that come preloaded.

Hello all,
I just purchased the new Sony Xperia Z1, I love this phone to pieces but my biggest
pet-peeve is that it does not allow you to change your text/notification tone to anything else besides the ones that
come preloaded in the phone, I text more than I call and I would love to be able to customize my notification tones.
Something I hope Sony will fix or if anyone knows a way around it?

You could try downloading more tones with the Zedge app? Set them as the ones you want in settings.

Really? I don't have the same phone as you but on this one I changed my normal notification to a Star Trek tone.

Not entirely true. Using many music apps, you can use a "set as notification" and "set as ringtone" command to do it. These days, though, most people just use Zedge. It free, and it kicks tush.

I use zedge, and there is sooooo much choice for ringtones and notification tones.

When you load Zedge, choose "notifications", instead of "ringtones", that'll go a long way....
