How long have you been on mirage? Have you always had wifi issues? Might be a bad download or flash. Might try redownloading, check m5, then do complete wipe and reinstall. Be sure to do a Nandroid backup before getting started .

Maybe
When I was on mirage wifi was EXTREMELY slow and sometimes didn't connect.....

Did you remember to Turn wifi always on Jonny? Also, remember ICS has updated everything, faster Wifi Connection. Mirage did this depending on how the day was, and if the wifi went out to me. If it went out, it wouldn't connect, or it would connect, but no data is being pushed to system.

+ If you use the LG rom, remember, it is Mirage ;)

I use OM-Mandylion cm7 by EarthnFire78 but it does need a sd-ext partition. I've never had a wifi issue with it, the recovery and gapps you used with mirage will work with it.

The VM670-OM-Kernel is going to be used by ThatGuyLurkin and all his ROM'S, and Jada you do not need to switch ROM'S you could flash a new kernel and see if that helps.

That is not true at all. You just need to wipe everything. I jump between cm7 and 9 roms quite a bit. Not sure what's up with your wifi, but it's easy enough to change roms and see if that fixes it.

Wipe Dalvik, and cache, see if it boots then.

Just got permission to post another rom. I chose this one because of the battery life I get with it.

Did you change the WiFi sleep options in the WiFi menu? When it's set to sleep when the screen shuts off, it can cause issues. It always screws my WiFi up when I leave it set to sleep. You can check this if you go to the WiFi menu and press the menu button and select advanced.

And I'm going to plug Leslie Ann's Harmonia 2 Rom here, I love the feel of it, and the ability to modify it how you please.
I use a combination of an apps to sd script, Holo launcher, the ics mdpi theme, and smart keyboard to make my optimus perfect.

Cm9 and 10 are really big, bigger then our phones were ever ment to handle. The devs behind the roms built in sd-ext features so we can install more then just a couple apps without running into insufficient space errors. You may be able to run them without partitioning the sd but they run better with one because that's how the developers intended them to be run
