I have a Galaxy Note 2, should I buy a Nexus 7?

I have a note 2, but thinking if I should get the Nexus 7 because it is cheap. The Nexus 7 screen size is only 1.45 inches bigger than my Note 2 screen size. I was wondering should I get the N7? Is it worth it?

I have the original GNote and an N7 and happy to have both. There are certain things such as reading a book or magazine, watching a video that the extra screen real estate is appreciated, and as you said they are relatively cheap to add. I think the 2 make an awesome combo.

The choice is hours to make. I am sporting a Nexus 7 and a Galaxy S3 myself. Both have JB.

Wasn't the Note 2 only 1.45 inches bigger than most all the other phones on the market when you got yours? Seems you can use the rationality to pickup the Nexus 7.

The only disadvantage is that it's 200 bucks. If you can afford 200 bucks for another toy, why not?

The screen will be slightly larger and useful for things like movies, reading, etc. You'll have fewer worries about battery management since your Note can be charging while you are using the Nexus. You'll be carrying a different device around at home and putting the Note at risk of dropsies less often. If you make up a new Google account you can run apps in a sandbox without worrying about access to your contacts, etc, if you want to separate "serious business" and "play" devices.

If none of the above seem important, you could also just drop the $200 on a better protective case and spare or extended battery for the Note II, etc.

One of the big disadvantages, of course, is that within 6 months the Note II will be lagging behind on OS updates, and you'll be continually comparing all the shiny new stuff coming to your Nexus 7 against a phone you still have 18 months of lock-in on and spent more money on. ;)

Stick with your note 2. The nexus 7 is not without faults. And not all the android apps are compatible. If you can wait there's a nexus 7and 10 both with 3g "or ee not sure."

I'd just like to point out that the extra 1.45" diagonal roughly translates to a 60% bigger screen. That's not insignificant, whether it is enough to make it worth buying is up to you.
