First you need to decide what kind of games you would like to play. If you want something for casual gaming like FIFA, COD or Fortnite on 1080p, you can go for Core i5 8th Gen or an i7. Along with that 8 GB of RAM and a TB HDD or a SSD(if you would like to). Have a GTX 1060 for it. If you would like to do some hardcore gaming such as PUBG, Battlefield 1, Witcher 3,GTA V, Minecraft(just kidding) etc at 4k or higher at 60fps or higher then go for an i7 or i9 8th Gen, 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB SSD, a GTX 1080 ti, and probably some good motherboard. If you are interested in graphics rendering or VR gaming then opt for an i9 Xtreme 36 core 8th Gen , 128 GB of RAM, about a few TBs worth of SSDs, and 3 GTX 1080 to or a GTX Titan V (along with a 1080). I don't know what other configurations will support VR gaming but the ones I mentioned will surely make it a great experience.
