Gear VR was never compatible with any of the Actives. It's too fat and large in size.

Won't be advertised but AT&T already has a fanbase for the Active series. It also helps them convert people over to AT&T since it's an exclusive. I usually just pay full price and get it unlocked.

So the display is all glass? Last year they had that plastic on top. Samsung screwed us with Bixby again. The Active key was very useful. Thanks for the info! Looking forward to the S8 Active.

Oh and I forgot, same exact aspect ratio as the regular S8? Borders on YouTube videos? And any word on expected release date?

I have an S7 active and was able to peel up the plastic shatterproof layer off and replace with glass protector after it was scratched to hell. Do you know if it's possible to do the same to the s8 active?

Yes. You can youtube a video showing removal of the replaceable poly screen.
