i have a samsung 3 phone, and i can't change from password to pin, everything is greyed out.

I have followed the clearing certs etc but that hasnt helped all the options say disabled by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage, the only highlighted option is Password showing high security any suggestions please

Do you have your phone connected to a company email server? Those can push security requirements if configured correctly. For example, mine won't let me use Trusted Places, Face Unlock, Trusted Devices. No problem anyway, ImPrint (Nexus 6P fingerprint unlock) works REALLY nice.

got confused with your reply as Nexus is another phone entirely

i dont have a email set up on phone, as the email being used comes up with error when trying to set up the email icon. must be a way i can amend the password to be a pin
