I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge+ on T mobile instead of Straight Talk (on Verizon network)

I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge+. When I purchased it I bought it online and the site said that it was unlocked but a Verizon phone. I am now wanting to switch from Straight Talk (on virizon network) to T mobile. I was wondering if I am able to do that because under network mode in my settings I can change between the three Global, LTE/CDMA or LTE/GSM/UMTS. I was hoping that even though Straight Talk (on virizon network) is CDMA because my phone allows it be put in GSM mode I can use it on T-Mobile? THANKS

Welcome to Android Central! All Verizon phones are carrier unlocked, and the phone should be able to work on GSM networks like T-Mobile.
