i have a Samsung s3 my key board doesnt show i can only speak text a normal american keyboard ?

when i want to text the keyboard is blank if i press on iy a letter or number types up how can i fix this

Go to your "language and input" settings and make sure your keyboard is turned on. A good factory reset will always do the trick if that doesn't work. Or if you want to avoid both of those, you can always download a keyboard from the Google Play Store and use that. I recommend Google Keyboard.
