I have a vertical yellow line on my screen (S5 Mini), how do I get rid of it?

Vertical yellow line on screen (S5 Mini)

A vertical yellow line has appeared on my S5 mini screen around half an inch into the screen on the left side. What is it and how can I fix it please

Most of the time, any straight line that won't go away on your screen means hardware damage. It can be either the screen itself, a pin in the connector, a faulty display driver chip... In any case, these usually need to be checked by someone physically to be able to truly tell what's wrong.

Does the yellow line always stay on screen no matter what are you running? If you turn your phone off and turn it back on, does the yellow line also appear before the system loads? If so, it's definitely a hardware issue and this needs repair.

There could be an issue with the screen and it may need to be replaced. Your device should still be under warranty, so contact the retailer and/or Samsung for a warranty repair. Let us know how it goes.
