I have a virus alert on my brand new lg sunrise phone.

I'm getting a virus alert on my brand new phone. literally 1 hr old went to 2 websites. a boxing site and rotten tomatoes. the virus alert turns into a nasty website. I don't understand what i did and what to do about it.

The virus scan says nothing is on my phone but it keeps popping up

I'd try to have it replaced (it may not be a new phone).

If not, run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Avast Mobile Security & Antivirus. (Not at the same time. Install one, let it run, install the other one the next day and let it run - or your phone will make dead snail seem fast.)

It could be the hot spot you are connected to, either way, boot into recovery mode (volume up + home + power buttons) and do a factory reset.
