Why is chrome now showing up as a white box with a line inside instead of the symbol itself

Maybe it depends on which site pushed the notification. Take a screenshot of that notification after swiping down from the status bar (remember to hide any personal information included in it)

When you swipe down the notification panel, what details are associated with that icon? Are you certain it's Chrome? Could it be Google News instead?

It’s a website called gentside , It must just be the icon even tho it’s chrome

It could be that you agreed to get notifications from Gentside through Chrome. Open Chrome, tap Menu>Settings>Notifications, then look under Sites. Do you see the site there?

Yeah it’s there , just wish it showed the actual icon of chrome cause the square looks big but it’s ok
