Multiple G-mail accounts without syncing everything!

I have multiple Gmail accounts. I have my work email, my nonprofit email (I'm the secretary) and then my personal email. I only want my phone to sync with my personal gmail but I would like to be able to check my email on my phone of the other two. It doesn't seem to matter what I do, as soon as I sign into a gmail account from my phone everything auto syncs! Even if I use the chrome browser.

Example...contacts. They won't show up in my phone contacts but yet if I go to type a new next message to say "Dad" it will bring up every contact that starts with a D from all 3 accounts. Even though they are not synced with my phone contacts. Its very annoying and I don't know how to stop it.

Or pictures. Sometimes my pictures will auto back up to all 3 accounts. Not good!

The only way I've been able to stop this is by no signing into any other account EVER on my phone. Which is inconvenient since I need to be able to reply quickly to many incoming emails.

That sentence contradicts itself - you can't read an email that the phone hasn't synced with (received from) the email server.

So you can sync and read them all or only sync and read one account, you can't read without syncing.
