I have NBA league pass broadband -is Froyo best root to watch games?

I have NBA League Pass Broadband and I would like to be able to watch games on my Nook Color. I have not yet rooted - I need to get the micro sd card first, which I am planning to do this weekend. What is the best root to use? Froyo? Please include link. Thanks for your help!!!
