I have no bass when using huawei mate 20 pro and android auto

Hi I have a vauxhall astra and when playing Spotify through my huawei mate 20 pro the sound is flat no bass and ideas how to sort this out

Welcome to Android Central! You've already turned the car stereo's bass control up?

If you have an EQ setting on the phone turned on, make sure it's turned off, so that the car stereo can work with an unmodified audio stream from the phone.
