I have one contact duplicated hundreds of times, how can I merge them?

One contact duplicated hundreds of times

On my Galaxy s3 I have one contact that is duplicated maybe 300 times. Any suggestions how to merge or delete these entries? I have no idea where they came from. In trying to find an answer, I keep seeing instructions to use Merge Contacts, but I don't see that on my phone. Thanks.

Try Contacts, 3-dot menu top right, Manage Contacts, Merge Contacts.

Any good, or don't you see that option?
