I have to say goodbye to the pixel 6 pro

No issues with my Pixel 6. Sorry to hear about your phone bro. so far I'm loving my phone. Can't put it down

My pixel 6 pro has also gotten really hot twice while watching YouTube and it has lowered the refresh rate and both times it starts to really lag, but I haven't used it enough to see if it's a constant issue because I've switched back to my z fold 3 but I'm going to use it this weekend and will report if I have any more overheating issues.

Must be an issue with some batch of phones, I watch Youtube all the time on the Pixel 6 Pro without any heat issue.

I really love the experience on this phone so I returned the pro and got a reg 6 in seafoam. I'm not giving up yet lol.

Yeah I don't use it during the week because of work I don't have a screen protector on the 6pro and I work on vehicles so I don't want to risk a cracked screen, but this weekend I will use it and see how it does because I don't want to return it but there's also this little spot on my screen that looks like an air bubble on the screen I wanted to take a picture and posted it here but it's small and none of the pictures I took showed it.

I was thinking of doing the same more for the flat screen so I can put a protector on it.

I really like the flat screen, definitely the color cause u can't see finger prints that well on it, the matte sides and the smaller size. From a performance stand point u can't tell the difference in the 6 or the pro. I don't care about the other camera lens either.

My pro only got really hot when installing and updating a game.
After that in use was fine. Also fine with YouTube and whatnot.
I really wanted the smaller 6 but I want the tele lens.

I normally go for the smaller flat screen phones. This time I went way out of my comfort zone and so far I am liking it a lot. Never been a huge camera person, but I am finding new hobbies to try out and editing photos is fun so I choose this phone for that reason as well.

Had the phone 2 weeks. Gave it a fair beating in that time. No issues.
You've had the phone for 2 weeks already? When did you get it? I'm guessing you're rounding up the time you've had it since it released last Thursday with some getting it a day or 2 before.

You are right. Had it 12 days. On second weekend with it. Thanks for correcting my perception of time .

Anyhoooo , haven't had the issue above after giving it a good testing. I would try a reset. Or , on Google's track record l, it might be a lemon.

I returned my Pixel 6 pro back to Best Buy and ordered The T-Mobile branded Pixel 6. Sorry but for 899 the pro just didn’t feel flagship enough for me. The fingerprint sensor had issues and was annoying even with multiple fingers added the screen isn’t as nice As a Samsung or iPhone screen and the phones speaker isn’t as crisp as I like. The pro ended up feeling more like a mid range phone instead of a flagship. Let me not even get into the charging speeds which is quite possibly the worst I’ve ever experienced on any phone.

With that said I think with paying $599 I can live with the compromises and shortcomings and enjoy it as a back up device

I ended up returning my pixel 6 pro today, I was going to switch back to it this past weekend but I only used it for a couple of hours and then found myself missing my fold 3 so I just returned it, based on personal preference.

I'm very close to getting rid of my 6 pro, FPS is one of the worst I've ever used, but the main problem for me is the unreliable WiFi calling, which is a deal breaker for me as I have no phone signal at home..The Camera is the only reason I'm keeping it at the moment.

I'll be putting it to one side, and using the Fold 3 hoping we firmware updates sort out these problems.

Yea, the FPS was horrible.

Strange. I use WiFi calling every day for hours. No issues on either sim.

Also FPS hasn't been an issue for me. Don't notice it tbh. I really don't notice any difference in work flow from my S21U. Granted I make use of smart lock in the house and car.

For all the complaints about the FPS, I'd be curious to see videos of it in action to see the problems people have. I wonder how much of it is unreliable recognition vs simple dissatisfaction with the speed. If the latter, is it a matter of milliseconds, or are people seeing delays on the order of a full second before it responds?

Good question. As someone waiting patiently for my P6P to arrive sometime this month, it would be good info to have.
