I hope in 2 years there is no punch hole

I love this phone, don't get me wrong. But I do hope in two years there is no punch hole for the front camera (and that 5G version will be the default, I have no need for it now). What are the odds?

I use the option to hide it, LOL. This helped me buy this phone.

I'm not using that or a special wallpaper and i still don't notice it.
I saw a thread before release that showed how the hiding looked and i didn't like it.
Did you try to see if you could get use to it? I expect not everyone can.

now you all have me worried about the darn front camera. how big is the freakin' thing? is it really noticeable? stuff like that will bug me. the beauty of the phone is all the uninterrupted real estate. why put a big hole in the middle of it?

It's either a hole or a notch.
You can hide either which reduces screen real estate.

true. I grabbed my Note 8 and it's the same. I use mainly black walls so I never notice it. hope it will be the same for the Note 10+

There is a setting for it.
Display - full screen apps - 3 dots menu - advanced.
It just blacks out the top of the screen.

I don't notice it anymore. I thought it would bug me, but I forget about it. even with white backgrounds. the only thing about it that bugs me is that the notification strip is about twice as big as it needs to be. I just want an option to hide the notification area unless you tap on it or something.
