This is something new that Samsung must have started allowing in the past year. In the past Samsung did not allow you to use your own label. You had to use their FedEx label. I specifically tried this a few years ago due to a couple of very bad experiences with Samsung trade in. From then on I wanted to use my own shipping label so that I could insure the package myself since using the Samsung's FedEx label wont allow a separate insurance purchase. When I was told I still couldn't use my label by Samsung customer service, even after explaining to a representative that I had several bad experiences with their tradein department, I ended up never buying from them again.

Samsung switched to UPS from FedEx for shipping new phones, I don't understand why they still insist on using FedEx for trade ins. N

I keep reading stories like this. This is why I do my trade-ins at an ATT Store, once hand it over to them, it is on them if it gets lost. I am not a fan of Fed Ex anymore and am very hesitant to ship with them and I never choose them to receive an item if I have a choice. I would rather use USPS or UPS.
