I just rooted my phone and have 2 questions

First, what does checking the md5 mean? I know it's important but I don't know what it is or how to do it.

Second, What is the best ROM available right now? I know that's an opinion question but I'd like to know what people think.

Bamf roms are the most popular, 2.1 remix gets alot of love these days, and rc3 (sense 3.0 port from htc shooter).

Make a nandroid backup since you just rooted!!! BEFORE YOU FLASH anything

I just followed the entire first post in the sticky guide to backup and install ROMs. The nandroid backup just finished. I decided on bamf 2.1 remix, and am now going to follow your guide on how to install the ROM and the MR2 radio. Thanks for the help!
