i know that that this has been coverd to death, but allow to vent. Just came back from Best Buy. ROWS AND ROWS AND ROWS of iPad cases. Literally, without exageration, only ONE case that fits the Galaxy Tab.

I know, I know, that's what Amazon is for. i just dont like buying these sorts of things without seeing them first.

Anyway, I got that only case, just to have some protection until i decide which one Im going after.

Bought my Roocase ultraslim 2-in-1 from Amazon. Can't be happier, its a perfect case. Unlike all others that i have seen it doesn't add much bulk or weight.

It has two positions that are the most important - one for standing up, the second is for typing. To use the second position, just enable auto rotate for your screen. It came with capacitive stylus that i tried and did like, but i am waiting for the proper app - either for handwriting recognition or sketches.

I sort of made my own...I decided I wanted solid protection while I am lugging the tab around but when I'm using it, I want it to be just as sleek as its design intended it to be. I decided right off that I wanted a pouch case for that reason but the pouhces out there have soft sides and don't provide any real protection. So $12 in supplies later ($10 neoprene netbook pouch and $2 foam board) I have a protective, light impact resistant solution and I have no fears of any damage when throwing it in my backpack.

I returned that Belkin case. $60 seems a little extreme for the way that thing fit. I just grabbed a zip up sleeve for a Netbook. I saw someone else around here mention that idea. Good enough for now. But I feel like the book cover case is rally what I'm looking for.

I purchased the Samsung case and am very pleased with it. Adds almost no bulk, but does add some weight. Not a enough to complain about though. It has two viewing angle positions and closes with a magnetic flap. The only drawback is that you do have to open that magnetic flap to access the charge port on the bottom of the Tab. Otherwise it has been great and I am very pleased.

You can order it on Samsung's website and be sure to use the discount code: GOOGLEIO2011

I ordered mine about a week ago and that code no longer worked... SUMMER2011 worked, but it is a smaller discount. I paid right around $50 shipped for it.

I know we were talking about the downsides in the other thread, it seems like if they rotated the tab 180 degrees and put the cutouts for all of the slots it would be perfect. Easily worked around, but I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why they oriented the tab the way they did....

I wish I could pick up an Otterbox Defender - I have one of those on my iPad and while it does add significant bulk to the device, it's the only case I've ever used on any of my electronics and the one I swear by.

I know others would like nicer, thinner, lighter cases - cases are one of those highly personalized choices.

I just purchased my Tab - I picked up the Samsung leather sleeve temporarily until I can find a more suitable case.

Try writing the manufacturer an email expressing your interest in a case for the GT. If you post a link to it I'm sure others will write in as well, I usually do even if I don't plan on purchasing one to help people out and to boost the availability of 3rd party accessories for Android devices.

Already ahead of you on that one, rsix - posted an e-mail on their website (iPhone 4 Cases, iPad 2 Cases, Tablet Cases & More // OtterBox.com) in the Contact Us area and suggested that they might be able to capture some market share since good cases are so sparse for the GT 10.1 right now (at least good cases that I've been able to find).
You're on top of it!

I'll shoot them an email as well, I am very hopeful we see more 3rd party manufacturers support our device. Good luck!
