But, do any of you MAXX users have an opinion on tablets? Being a MAXX user, battery life is paramount.

Plugged in my tablet lasts all day and night. I would highly recommend keeping your tablet plugged in to get the best battery life

I have a Samsung ATIV 500T with the detachable keyboard. I use it because I can take notes via onenote in MS office. Native windows and it works very well. For school notes, you just can't beat OneNote. I get about 8-9 hours of use between charges if I am not watching Netflix or other high power apps.

I left a job in February. They had bought me an iPad 2 for work that I really liked. When I left I had to buy my own tablet. I really wanted a new Nexus 10 but unfortunately Google isn't talking about when a new version will be coming out so I had to look elsewhere. I strongly considered a Galaxy Note 10.1 but in the end I went with the iPad Air. Battery life is amazing and I already had bought most of the apps that I need.

On a side note, I did by two Nexus 7's 2013 at Christmas for my boys. They love it.
