Unlike so many, I can actually multi task. I've been doing it for a long time and have never had any problems. Just because the government tells you something doesn't make it true. Most people get more distracted by the radio than I will by my phone. Maybe they should outlaw them in cars too, lmao.
My son was broadsided by a woman who was texting. It's LMAO morons like you that think they above the law and superior to everyone. Let me guess, you probably pound down a 6er and drive, too.
She got off easy. Her license was suspended for a year. She won't be as lucky in the Civil damages phase.
............... for now.
We have a saying at work when someone wants to do something questionable. "What ever your career can handle."
In your case its, "If you do the crime, be prepared to do the time."
Good luck with your multi-tasking.![]()
I think it was Car and Driver that did a little test showing the effects of drinking and driving and texting and driving on reaction times and the driver had a slower reaction time while he was texting. There's a reason most states have laws against texting while driving. Up here in Michigan, you can get a ticket for texting even if you're at a stop sign/stop light.
Nope, don't drink and drive. I'm sorry for your son, but I still stand by my point that someone who is distracted that easily can be distracted by just about anything that we all do in cars every day. Radios, passengers and cigarettes are still legal in vehicles, and provide just as much of a distraction.

You are an idiot and will deserve what you get. Unfortunately, the person you may mame or kill does not deserve your ignorance.
Again, since everyone seems to be ignoring what I'm saying, driving is filled with distractions, its how you handle them. So again, what about all those other things, should they be illegal? Changing the radio, smoking, talking to passengers? They've all caused plenty of accidents. Maybe we should outlaw them. I'm sure everyone calling me an idiot has done these things, but that's okay, right? Why? Because you're used to them

So since driving is already filled with distractions, its ok to add another one?
Like I said, I hope the only person you hurt is yourself, but i'm quite sure you'll end up hurting someone else and then continuing with the same behavior.

Listen man I understand that you have the ability to do whatever and drive but I really think getting and driving is right below being wasted and driving.
And i meanwasted not just drinking and driving.
Some people can function drunk fine but that still means they are taking a risk with other people's lives.
Not doubting your skill but your human and can make a mistakeand that mistakecan kill yourselfor someoneelse.
I think thats what people are trying to say. Im no saint myself but im getting better.
The only advice can give to you is use voice text or try downloading a old school T9 application.
At least that say you don't need to look at the phone when driving.

It's not always your fault when something happens. A foolish mistake by another driver could be catastrophic at just the wrong moment. Do yourself and others around you a favor and just drive. Save the texting for later.I understand what you're saying, and thank you for staying civil, unlike many others here. I do however disagree. I equate it more to the other things I mentioned, and do not believe it is anywhere near driving drunk. Also, I do not need to keep my eyes on the phone the whole time I type, and I can have the phone up so I can keep my eyes on the road also. Its not like I look at my lap while texting.

Well your belief is wrong. You don't deserve anyone to be civil to you with such an ignorant attitude. This is the exact same attitude people have who end up crashing into others and hurting/killing them. And your trying to rationalize behavior that has been outlawed in many places because of how dangerous it is just proves how foolish you are. I just hope that sooner rather than later you win yourself a Darwin award.

So excuse me for thinking that what you believe is just ridiculous
And, AGAIN, excuse me for repeating myself. Have they tested any of the other distractions that people do hundreds of times on a daily basis while driving? Again, I believe that all you do things that impaired you just as much while driving. So excuse me for thinking your argument is ridiculous.
