I like to know how to replace LCD flex ribbon cable for my samsung tab 3 7.0 SM-T210R

I was only trying to replace digitizer and when I tried to take the back cover off, digitizer and lcd display separated and fell apart. I put new digitizer on the lcd display but I did something to the tablet. Now it won't even turn on.
My computer recognizes my tablet and shows all the files. But my tablet has just blank screen. I disassembled the tablet and looks like the LCD flex ribbon doesn't look right. One end is connected to the motherboard but the
other end where it goes to the back of the LCD display is loose and not connected to anything. Is it supposed to be this way? There is very little information on it on the internet.
Thank you.

This is when the ZIF ( Zero Insertion Force ) connector for LCD cable is in locking position:

This is when the LCD cable inserted in the ZIF connector, the line on the cable should aligned with one on mainboard., the locking tab is in open position and up 90 degree, be careful with it, if broken you have to change the LCD as nothing to lock the cable in place.

This is when the LCD cable is fully inserted and locked in the ZIF connector. You should put a tape over the ZIF connector to prevent of loose cable .

The cable that is partially detached clips on to the row of little black spiky things. I hope that makes some sort of sense!:-
