I loose data connectivity while i am on a call. Please help!

[Android Central Question]

I am currently using Moto G6 which supports 4G connectivity. My VoLTE setting is turned on. And currently my networking is on roaming. I use the same sim for calling and data (sim slot 1).
Data connectivity is lost while i am on a call. While on a previous handset i.e. HTC 526G+, i had 3G connectivity, data connectivity was never lost while i was on a call. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you know what network you're roaming on? Perhaps that network doesn't have VoLTE capability.
