I lost the LG Camera app

A few days ago I removed LG's built-in Camera app from both my home screen and the app drawer (I have a G4).

When I search for "camera" in the app drawer, nothing comes up. I tried reinstalling from the .apk but it won't let me (I'm guessing because the app is still installed on my phone somewhere).

I tried restoring disabled apps in Settings but that didn't work either.

I know that I didn't uninstall it because there are no other camera apps on my phone and I'm still able to use the camera function in apps such as Textra and FB Messenger (I'm guessing that they use the phone's native camera).

Plus, I'm able to see Camera in Settings --> Application manager. It's not disabled and the menu says that it's been using memory in the last 3 hours.

The weird thing is I'm simply unable to open the app or "find" it on my phone. Any ideas? Thank you!

What exactly do you mean by removed it from the app drawer? Did move it into another folder or make it a hidden application? Try long pressing the home screen and add it back to the home screen if it's selectable under the apps menu. Otherwise, provide us with a little more information (phone model, launcher, etc.) so that we can further help.

Re: I lost the LG Camera app

You can't delete a stock app (unless you have rooted your phone, but that's a different story). You pulled it in trash from the home screen, right? Go to the apps menu, find the camera app, hold on it and it should put the icon on the home screen. Or you can hold on your home screen and it'll prompt a menu. Tap "Shortcuts", then "Applications" and find the camera app.

or

Go to apps-->all and clear data of your launcher. Icon should come back.
