I love Bing!!

What's the big deal folks? Why is everyone so uptight with bing being the default search engine here. I finally got to use it and its perfectly fine. I have no reason to fuss.
Now for my regular computing at home and work I prefer google. On my fascinate bing is a nice change.....and change is good!!!!

Honestly your right there isnt anything wrong with bing. The main thing that irked me was that it was tied to VZ Navigator. But we all know that is easy to get around. Only other thing is that Fascinate owners were tied down to bing and only bing unless you root.

Other then that noting wrong with bing itself.

I used to tell people to ask both Google and Bing "how big is the Sun" if they wanted an example of why Bing was not as good as Google, but I guess the Bing people caught on and fixed the results. Before the results were pretty comical, embarrassingly so for Bing.

I still give Bing a fair chance to impress me from time to time but Google consistently provides better results for me.

And, I don't like the fact that Verizon thinks they can make fundamental alterations to the functionality of a phone that I purchased just to line their own pockets. Didn't like it when I woke up one day to find that Bing had taken over my Blackberry without my consent, and I didn't like it when I found that they had done essentially the same thing with the Fascinate. I'm looking forward to seeing this get resolved when 2.2 is pushed.

Bing: top 6 is business listings, including an equine business... #7 is the size of the sun
Google: #1 is the article on the size of the sun... and to be fair, #2-#7 are also somewhat articles on the size of the sun...

I don't think its actually Bing itself, rather the fact that it is forced down your throat with no easy way to change it.

Yeah, I've not had any issues with Bing. It was the fact that it was forced on me and the Google services had to be added to my "google" phone manually.
