I have the VZW shell/holster, Incipio NGP, Seidio Surface and Diztronic. When I am out and about, I wouldn't leave my GNex unclothed - I just can't risk hurting my GNex if I drop him.

But in the privacy of my carpet laden home, I keep him naked. He feels so good in my hands naked!

I have a tpu case that barely gets any use. This phone just feels fantastic in the hand without a case. If I take it out in public, I always two hand it. Cases are annoying.

When I get my first scratch on my GNex, then I will be more brave and go caseless outside, but right now, my GNex is pristine! I don't want to risk it!

I wish Seidio would make a holster for the naked phone. That I would buy and use for sure!

I loved the feel of my first Nexus. After dropping it and shattering the screen I now have a Diztronic case on it. Before every time I pulled it from my holster it felt like it was going to drop. It now feels completely safe and the Diztronic makes it feel more secure every time I hold it. The back of the case also keeps it from sliding on smooth surfaces like car seats.I with the design had precluded the need for a case but alas, is not to be.

I use a remora concealed holster, works well. You can even use it with shorts, sweats or pj's

What holster do you use with the Diztronic?

The GNex is a slippery little devil without a case. That is why I only keep him naked in the house with carpet underfoot.

The other thing to consider is a skin, like Ghost Armour, which I may get. There are others, but I can't remember all the brands.

I have a bunch of cases but lately i keep mine naked not even a screen protector reason being is i usually keep my phone looking brand new for resale value but with my nexus i don't plan on selling it so I'm just goin to enjoy it I'm not worried about it

also really like it without a case, but keep it in a diztronic usually bc i bought it off contract and dont have insurance.

screen protector is a must (good ones like sgp are very clear) = if i get scratches on the screen i'll want to kill myself.

btw this case was recommended somewhere as thinnest, least obstrusive case - http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Veriz...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU1626959

dont have it but its on my radar.

I'm so weird...

To me, a case will only guarantee that I'll drop the phone. Without the case, I treat the phone like it's actually worth $700. I only put it in pockets that it can't slip out of. I never put my car keys in the same pocket.

Two months in, this strategy is working but you know I'll beat myself up on the day I do drop the phone.

I dropped my Blackberry on about the 18th month... it survived but just barely. Of course dropping a BB is one of the most useful things you can do with it.

i hear that.

but i drink too much to NEVER use a case.

and i prize this phone more than any of the previous phones i had - treated my caseless thunderbolt like a demolition car.

me too,so I decided on the otterbox, and I love it.Its not TOO big in my medium sized hands and looks great too,ive already dropped it a few times in two weeks ive had it and no problems so far.:-!

I used to go with only the snap on cases, they protected my Droid/Droid X like nobody's business... but then I started rooting. After some not so glamorous ROM's, I realized how un-awesome trying to unfasten a case is (while trying not to break the clips) to do a battery pull or even place in a dock. My short sabbatical to sprint with a Nexus S 4G cemented this ideology. I still remember talking myself down a few times within the first few days of owning (and immediately rooting) it over wanting to throw it.

To make an already long post shorter, I use the silicone cases because taking cases off is a pain. When the docks come out I am sure I'll be glad I chose this path.

boot loops + snap on case = :(

I love the feeling of the naked Nexus too. I usually go caseless over the weekends if its a lazy weekend. But I do notice it seems to slip out of my hand more often without the case. Luckily I'm usually sitting so it falls either on the table or my lap haha :D

That's exactly how I am. When I do take the GN out, I'm amazed by what it looks like underneath its battlesuit. Until it gets scratched, though, it's remaining in said suit--particularly when I go outside. Hell, I won't even it use it outdoors unless I'm seated lol.

And traveling? It doesn't traveling unless sheathed in either its (1) sock, or (2) custom made sleeve.

OCD? Yup.
