I also want to buy an android phone after so many years of IOS. But S7 its a bit to expensive. What else is good atm?

You can also look into last years Galaxy S6 Active unlocked version if you are on a GSM carrier. Excellent display & battery, but would not have the sd card like the S7 variants.

That would depend on the carrier you want to be on. Hardware options vary greatly depending on the carrier.
