I bet the Rom loaded but the screen is blank. Did you try to adb after it boots up?

yep. adb went str8 to #. I am positive its a screen issue. Can I try the "unbrick for some bricks" thread? Do you think thatll @ least get me back to stock? Then I can start over?

what I mean is, now that it booted up, and you can access adb, the system is mounted and you should be able to reinstall xionia, or have you tried that too?

WHEN I BOOT REGULAR: after the sprint splash, THEN screen goes black, the drivers install ON THE CPU. Once the "device is ready to use" i type adb shell in cmd and it returns "device offline"

WHEN I BOOT INTO RECOVERY AND THEN :execute adb shell it goes to #

I'm kinda thinking your phone decided to just take a crap to be honest. The fact that it worked it first and then it stopped, is strange. I know you said you flashed a theme, but that wouldn't have caused this problem.

In the original how to root th optimus s there is a link to a java screen program lets u interact with phone using pc. Then you might be able to mpunt phone. Hope this helps ill try to find link and post it or link to page.

I painstakenly reinstalled xionia. And it works again.

Now im back to square 1

Reborn will not load......

cleanrom will not load......

where do I go from here?

gave up. went to sprint. used the "phone messed up off ota update" excuse. Got a new 1. Thinking about starting over. Worried about messing this 1 up. Got rooted and reborn to work the 1st time so maybe i should try again......Only difference between this 1 and the one i messed up is this one came with v9. Updated ota to vd. the last 1 came with vd already. so.......

That actually might be a good thing cause now you know what LCD you have. My phone was the same way, got brand new with v9 and ota up to VD. Installed Xionia recovery then reborn.

Yea true, but hopefully we can help avoid you making some of them.
I would suggest using the adb shell method and copy & paste the lines in. Less chance of mistyping something.

ok. I re-rooted the new phone that came with STOCK v9. I installed reborn. It works. I know now that the issues was the fact the newer Optimus S' that come with stock VD have a screen driver issues with some roms.. That's y mine didnt work. I should heeded the warnings about that, but then again, im new to rooting. I just did it so imma let it sit over night, if everything works in the AM then I can breathe easy. BTW, thx for all your help. Sites like this and Crackberry make it better for us technology competent ppl how know things can always be exploited. I am a lifetime member of Androidcentral.com!

I prefer the cm7 gingerbread rom from ath3nos. It runs great with Netflix (look in my signature) and has more options to change from default.
